About Me
I am a freelancing Software Engineer from Oklahoma City. I studied fullstack programming at Le Wagon.
I love building things. While hard engineering problems are often intrinsically fun to tackle, I'm most interested in solving real customer problems with a business justification. I'm looking for a junior developer role where I can work with a collaborative team and gain more experience.
I have over a year of experience as a Software Engineer and have worked on many applications over this time period. While I'm a proficient full-stack developer, my passion is in building scalable backend services using Ruby and JavaScript.
Home Away
An Airbnb clone built using the Ruby on Rails Framework.
- Create an account with image upload and devise authenticator.
- As a user you are able to create, list out, delete, and edit homes on your specific profile. You are able to book other homes as well through a bookings system.
- Mapbox implementation using Geocoding with address conversion to coordinates and searching options.
Lavender
A community based stock trading platform built using Ruby on Rails.
- Create or join groups for community based investing.
- Using APIs such as Plaid, Stock Quote, and Stripe, you are able to buy and sell stocks as well as connect to your bank account.
- Each group is divvied up into shares based on the algorithm for how much each member has invested.
- Create a voting poll that needs at least 51% to execute each trade.
Snake
The classic game of Snake built using Vanilla JavaScript.
- Using Canvas, Collect apples and grow your snake to as long as possible. Sounds uploaded for each apple grown and for each time you die.
- Using Local Storage, the top score is tracked at the top of the canvas.
